Ahead of a visit from some VIPs, we transformed the meeting room in our northern head office into a ‘pop up’ restaurant, the very exclusive Wellington House.

Like most of the fine dining establishments trying to make a booking was impossible; this was purely invite only and if your name wasn’t down you were definitely not getting in!

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year

It may only be the start of the 2018 Chinese New Year (the year of the dog) but here in the SK development kitchen, we’re already planning for 2019 – the year of the pig.

You will be very pleased to know that we are skipping ahead this year and providing a pork-based recipe.
Dog may be a delicacy in some parts of the world but can you imagine the uproar if you went to your local supermarket and saw Labrador chops or Daschund fillet!

Mention Christmas to anyone in February and you would get a funny look, but at this time of year John Parker is already full of festive spirit.

That’s because in his role as a Commercial Manager at SK Chilled Foods, he is already planning for Christmas 2018.

This month, for instance, he has already met his supermarket customers to discuss the products they are likely to be supplying at Christmas.
