SK Chilled Foods is vying for an awards hat-trick.

We have been shortlisted in the Chilled, Fresh & Dairy Manufacturing Company of the Year category in the prestigious Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.

We have won the category two years in a row and are hoping to win it for the third time when the awards are announced in London in February 2020.

SK Chilled Foods’ Managing Director Jeremy Faulkner said: “Within our sector, these awards are regarded as the Oscars of the food industry, so we’re delighted to be short-listed in this key category once again.

“Winning it once was an achievement and to do two years in a row was even more amazing because you need to demonstrate continuous improvement.

“So, to win it for three consecutive years would be something really unique.

“SK Chilled Foods has never been one to rest on its laurels and we’re constantly pushing the barrier when it comes to new product development, technical integrity, service and innovation.

“Well known brands such as Greggs, Coca-Cola and Weetabix are among the finalists in other categories in the 2020 awards, so for a company based in Teesside to be among this list is a great honour.

“It says everything about hard work of each and every one of our 550 employees, as well as the support we receive from our customers and suppliers.”

The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievement within the UK’s fast-growing food and drink industry, rewarding all elements of food and drink manufacturing, including environmental initiatives, business acumen, business change management, supply chain innovation, young talent and teamwork.
