As well as a proven track record and strong engineering background (Electrical Bias), you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels with other elements of the business to ensure an environment  of continuous improvement in a multi component, labour intensive manufacturing environment.  You will have  excellent time management skills, a good knowledge of fault finding and preventative maintenance and the ability to work as part of a Team or on your own initiative. 

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Working a continental shift pattern ( 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off ) you will take an active part in maintaining, developing and improving Plant machinery and services. This will involve a variety of duties ranging from promptly repairing breakdowns to installing new equipment. PLC and HMI controls are integral to production equipment performing efficiently and experience in working on them is, therefore essential. You will also ensure that Health & Safety and Quality Standards are achieved.

MAIN DUTIES: 

  • Health & Safety
  • General maintenance duties.
  • Daily duties will include:
    • Electronics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors ( wire & belt )
    • Installations, fault finding, Inspections, Servicing.
  • Planned preventative maintenance.
  • Project improvement schemes.
  • Maintenance, installations and repair of electrical / mechanical equipment.
  • Contribute to existing improvement opportunities.
