If you like Star Wars, yesterday would have been your day (May the 4th Be with you), but whilst we are big fans of the movies (apart from Phantom Menace of course!) we prefer to celebrate Cinco de May0. (5th of May).

That’s because Mexican food is one of the staples in the SK kitchen.

Cinco de Mayo

Today is Cinco de Mayo (Fifth of May), which commemorates Mexico’s victory over the French army at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

The Mexicans hardly need an excuse for a celebration, but this is one of their favourite days of the year and is a time for eating, drinking and spending time with friends.

We are no strangers to Mexican food here in the SK Kitchen, given Tex-Mex is one of our specialities, so there was no way we would let the day pass with celebrating everything that is great about Mexican food.
